8" rotor on the manituo sherman q/r lowers?

is this ok?

i know this has been covered before but i couldn't find the post. they no longer say either way.

the reason i ask is because i have recently got some and would like to use them(because they are camo and i also like the convenice of q/r). i normally run a tru-axle.

I've had an 8" disc on a Zokes fork w/ QR for about 3 months...no problem.
Hayes doesn't recommend such practice, but I haven't had any issues, nor can I see what issues might come up.

Most FR Zokes run 8" w/QR and have for a long time, though the QR20 system is more like thru-axle than standard QR.

yeah i have seen the recall it effect all the forks except the kingpin in which i have.

i called manitou today and they said they the q/r are designed to take to forces of a 8" rotor.

i'm going to try the q/r 8" rotor combo. if i don't like it i will just put the other lowers back on
