I was hoping to use the cranks off of my old Giant Faith (83mm) on my new Bottlerocket (73mm shell)
I purchased the adapter kit from RF but it didnt come with any instructions..

My basic question is how to orient the 2 new spacers on the spindle... I know it sounds like a simple thing but its driving me crazy trying to get it right..

Has anyone else done this?

I don't know about that kit in particular, but you can usually orient the spacers one on each side, or two on one side depending on how you need to space your crank. So if you need more clearance on the drive side, put two spacers on the drive arm. I'd start with one on each side.

But again, I don't know about that particular application, that's just bottom brackets in general.
