so i need to put stiffer springs into my fork and the shop i go to says that they need to send it to marzocchi to have them put in because they dont have the tool. i have a 04 888r. is this true because i dont like the sound of the down time?
No the part you need is a super cheap part from Park.
It some kind of axle vice holder which I think cost me about $7 from my shop.
Go to go-ride.com and read their tuning instructions on the 888.
You can do it yourself, and won't have to go through the downtime,
and that article will tell you everything you need to know.
This is true. If they are a good shop, they would buy the tool to have for the future. If they have never opened up a 888 let them send it in or buy the tool and do it yourself. If you dont think you can do it, send it to Go-ride. Mine is on the way to Go-ride for a spring change as we speak.
