my damper basically fell apart.

Is the cartridge user serviceable at all? The rod came unscrewed form the cart. side. I can get it to catch the nut inside and get a few turns on it but there is no way to get it tight with out getting the cartridge open.

Looked like they might be crimped shut, I'm hoping this is not the case.

Any tips?

What year is your 888? Did you mean the RC3 Evo?

It's an 07. I've been putting off getting a new fork as I'm more then likely buying a new bike in the winter but if I cant salvage this damper I might finally bite the bullet and get a avalanche cart.
