For now, yes. Smoking permitted unless no-smoking is requested by the artist performing that night. Even then the smoke is usually not too bad. The DC smoking ban should kick in for nightclubs in January 2007.

I'm looking at going to see Sonic Youth on the 15th. The early show is already sold out. Doors open for the late show at 10. With 2 bands playing, that's pretty late for a week night + the drive back to Annapolis = dead on Friday morning.
