I had a job interview today. Got there around 10:15 and started talking at around 10:20.

I left at 5:15. No joke- a 7 hour interview. I thought I was going to be there 2 hours tops. I had a short lunch, met about 1/3 of the employees and all the partners.

They even gave me some fake work to do. Seriously. They gave me some interview notes and asked me to identify problems in the business processes being used, recommend solutions, put it into a power point and present it to them. Then I had to formulate a general plan for getting a local professional organization started and present it. Not too hard except for the fact that I have virtually no business experience whatsoever.

On the plus side, they offered me a job that would pay 10k more than I figured and I'd get full benefits and a likely raise about 3 months sooner than I thought.

James - congrats. did you accept their offer?

Details man!
Well, I have another interview in an hour or so. I am almost positive that they would hire me but not pay as well or give me a very steady work schedule, so yesterday's offer is probably the winner.

I'll probably take it. The job isn't exactly what I want to be doing, but it seems like a decent place to work, they pay well and it's only 12 miles from where I'm living.
