I took this pic at a race at Northstar in Tahoe. This guy was haulin' a**. Anyone been there before? I love that place.

Yeah its pretty fun. I would rather ride Downieville though.
That place is cool. It kicked my ass and gave me black snot for a week.
i am hoping that because of the pathetic snow coverage all the mtns have, n* will open up a little earlier this year.

N* is rad, but would be even better with MORE TRAILS! Let's get a world cup or at least a national up there. I pick N* over Downieville every time because Downieville bores me. N* is technical. N* is the epitome of good riding. Go as soon as you possibly can!
you hit the nail right on the head. to have such a great place within 100 miles is awesome. here are some pics of one of the races last year that i have drooling over this past winter. a buddy of mine went to downieville last year, he only had the time and energy for one run. that doesn't sound like a lot of fun. being able to make a dozen runs and never taking the same line twice is what it's all about.
