I know German...Uber used to get thrown around by the punks and skins to mean super or cool.

Literal translation...

in English...

Over=Super

Therefore...

my high school had kind of a part A and part B to the motto that we'd yell at football games:

andele (sp?) rojo; uber alles.

go red, over all.

i never understood it, but it was a football game, and as we all know, Texas High School Football is unique. especially in small towns.
