Ok Stoshly, I mentioned week or so ago that I shared your predilection for old Schwinn bikes, and that I had recently picked up a new Schwinn ride, and it might not be exactly what you expected....

Well, here's a teaser. Hint: 1980 model, made in Chicago.
I'll let you & others guess a while & then let you see the whole thing...

I love the attention to detail on the stems....

I was just in Mexico last week, but couldn't find the Bendix factory:

The bladed forks are dead sexy

And of course, the classic Schwinn Chicago headbadge. Note the twin top tubes.....

OK, I'll take your best guesses.......

Thanks Narlus. I dig this bike, and I've been digging your photos lately. I'm just noodling around with the point n' shoot.
As for the bike - the price was right....

(Did I happen to mention that I found it in the garbage?).

C'mon give us some full frontal and side shots so we can see this thing.

Stosh is preoccupied with wedding planning or something insignificant like that. ;)

We wanna see the bike!

Some dipwad took off the fenders, but it's pretty cool anyway.
Now I just have to wait for my kid to get big enough to ride it.

I do plan to fix it yp a bit. I might get it repainted, and the front wheel is totally detensioned, so that will need a little work.

I really like the older Pixies - the ones that had a removable top bar that let you convert between a girls or boys frame. Some years had solid tires as well, but those are hard to find.

Yeah, some new paint, a new chain, and tassles.....don't forget the tassles ;). Bright pink would go well if you kept it pretty close to that original color....
