Okay, I have just got a new Dell 600m laptop and acquired myself a copy of ProEngineer. For those who haven't used ProE, you start a lot of part geometry in a sketching function and apply dimensions and constraints (well, I do anyway). The problem I'm having is that when the dialogue boxes for the constraints and dimensions pop up, it screws up my display so that I either can't see either the dialogue box or the drawing itself. I'm assuming this is because my lappy has an inadequate graphics/video card, but ProE (which is a large solid modelling program) is the only software I have that does anything like this. My question is this: Any ideas what's causing this? Is there anything I can do short of buying a new graphics card (which I'm assuming is expensive for a laptop) or am I SOL? Thanks in advance O Wise and Wonderful computer gurus.

Is the graphics card "approved" for Pro E? Solidworks is a little picky about the cards and drivers. Their site has a list of "approved" cards. I know nothing of Pro E, but I know that Solidworks will do funky stuff like that without the correct graphics card.
