why haven't more people been murdered in the streets for sending it? it accounts for the majority of mail, it pisses everyone off, and is becoming economically burdensome for almost every web-based company.

combating it by our gov't is about as effective as the wars on poverty, drugs, or terror.

So that's why they do it. They have a 13% success rate. Kill the morons clicking the links, and we stop the spam.
