Which scenario does your value system swing toward:

A: Better to nab a few innocents than let any guilty get away.
or
B: Better to let a few guilty get away than nab a few innocents.

Feel free to justify as well. :cool:

[I'm thinking this is one of the cornerstone philosophical differences dividing red and blue america - and just want to test my hypothesis]

The obvious example is capitol punishment, but can also be found in childrens issues. etc...

I think that's exactly what "reasonable doubt" and "innocent unless proved otherwise" is all about.

I am in the B group, it extends to a lot of issues both red and blue. Like guns for instance, better a few looneys have 'em then not allowing anybody to have 'em. These red and blue issues are clearly not black and white.
