Job Description
The Bindings Crew is looking for a Design Technician to assist them in development of new and existing Burton Bindings. The Design Technician will be working close with Design and Manufacturing Engineers to create/update detailed drawings and specification packages, coordinate research of new materials and processes, create CAD models and assist in the manufacturing process. The Design Technician will also work with the Quality Technician, Lab and Field Testers to ensure all product has met all dimensional specifications and passed all testing requirements.
The successful candidate will need a 2 or 4-year degree in Industrial Technology, Drafting or related field, with 1 2 years prior experience in a similar position. A general knowledge of technical drawings, geometric tolerancing, ASME/ANSI standards, CAD software, spreadsheets and databases is needed. Solidworks and Pro-Engineer CAD knowledge preferred. A detail oriented, enthusiastic and well-organized work ethic is crucial. Knowledge of the snow sports or outdoor industry is desirable.
