Any advice on how to get the derailler to only shift into the small and middle rings? I can get it to shift using the small and big ring shifting points but I can't shift from small to middle without clicking the shifter all the way to the big ring detent point. I have tried the limit screws and unscrewing the bolt on the derailler clamp to the downtube to slide the derailler around and I can't get it to work. Any advice :(

Are you sure that you do not have it too low? That is the most common problem I've seen on dual ring setups. One thing that I have done is to set the derr up so that it has an easier time shifting up than down. Then put a very small bend in the derr cage where it touches the chain to down shift. It did not cause any rubbing issues for me. It will also let you set up the low limit screw tighter.

I just lowered mine to that when its i nthe middle ring the outter part of the cage just clears the bash guard. it sounds like you need to tighten the cable. either with the barrel adjust or at the clamp. I also have my high set screw set so that I can't **** into the big ring space, Its stopped before that point so I can't accidentally forget and try to shift the chain onto the bashguard. I get really good shifting now between the two rings better than when I had the three rings

Setting up a derailleur for a DRS is simply setting up a derailleur like you would for a 3-ring guide, then turning the outer limit screw in far enough to lock out the big ring. There's no trick to it. Sounds like you just have a problem setting the derailleur up properly...maybe to to parktool.com or a maintenance manual and follow the directions from step 1?

You CAN lower the derailleur on the seattube, but it's not necessary. I do it on my RFX; helps cure chain drag on the front cage.
