I was mucking around with a Hayes Sole for a 14 year old. After screwing out the lever reach adjuster bolt, the brake lever would not activate the brake.
It would pull down to a certain point, about a half inch from the handlebar, but the brake pistons would only move slightly. I ended up screwing the adjuster bolt back in and the brakes worked again.
Do I need to bleed the brakes after changing the lever throw? And is this the case will all Hayes brakes?
