I need to move it away from the bike, because the chain is rubbing the outside of the derailleur. How do I do this? I see there are two screws (one says High and the other Low). Which one should I adjust? I just need to move the derailleur out just a tab bit.

-Thanks In Advance

without giving you a ton of details,... screw the one marked low clockwise a quarter turn and check it again. Repeat if necessary. This is not all that's involved in the adjusting of a front derailleur, but it answers the question you asked.

Good Luck.

turbo - Actually, before you start messing with the Limit screws, have you checked cable tension yet? Has the derailleur rubbed always, or has it seemed to develope over time? Is this a new bike? Or newly installed cables? Cable tension may just be the culprit.

First, check the slackness of the front derailleur cable when it is in the Small Chainring up Front. Is it real sloppy? If so, try the following:

With the chain in the combo that rubs outbound (i.e. Big ring-front/little cog - rear) Adjust the cable tension ferrule on the front shifter counterclockwise a 1/4 turn at a time. If by 2 full turns you haven't resolved the rub, stop. You may need to reset your cable where it attaches to the F/Derailleur. OR - the limit screw may need to be adjusted.
