Yep its something i have always wanted to try. Between GravityfreakTJ and me we have alot of equipment. I have two Kayaks and i am in the process of building a XC bike (i don't think i want to Adventure Race on my DH bike :( ) So we have that part covered. My main worry is the "rope work" and map stuff. We have NO experience in climbing and NO climbing equipment.

EDIT: We are not racing til next spring so we have a while to prepare and train. If i like it i may talk TJ into doing and Expedition Race. Mmmmm 5 days of no sleep and constant racing.

I didn't know you guys were serious about the climbing thing, but since you are, I guess i'll help out.

The rock will be wet this weekend, you might want to consider going indoors. But if it dries, i'll show you a few crags in the area.

Saturday we are going trail running (since its to muddy to ride) maybe goof around on some rock stuff and if the rain holds off i want to take Tim out in the Kayak.

Sunday i am redneckin it up and going hunting and skeet shooting.

The plan is to start off with a few Sprint races in Ohio. I don't know wich ones yet. Also they are suppose to have a 24 hour adventure race in Red River Gorge (an awsome place to hike, paddle and climb in Kentucky) and so i definatly want to do that one.

Ah, then it is hard to offer too much guidance..

I found that a lot of these contestants in the sprint type races are newb's at the cycling portion, so you can make up some time in that department.

Running was my worst part. I could have made lots of personal performance improvement in that department.

in the Hi-tec series, they give you 2 man sevlor inflatables to use. Since it is a three man team, you have two in one kayak and one in the other. Paddling these things is an art, they do not track very well, and your team really needs to work together. Practice paddling as a team and you can also beat the snot out of your competitors.
