Life Lesson #1,642: When working on older marz air forks, the bolts that mount v-brakes also hold the arch to the lowers. Therefore it is a bad idea to remove these bolts and test-ride your newly built dirtjumper down the stairs without them installed in the fork. :bonk:

So yeah, where do I find some more of that ammonia smelling stuff that blew out of there all over everything? :brow:

Ok, you guys are killing me. I have never worked on something with out a spring, so I thought the oil was something a little different. After looking around some more, I gues it's just normal fork oil and it's allowed to float around in there with the air.

So my new question, that I'm hoping someone's got an answer to is what weight oil and how much should I put in each leg on an older Marzocchi Z4 Flylight Air? I checked on marz site but they don't seem to have any info on stuff before 2005.

Awesome manual, thanks.

I had finally found on the marz site that for my weight, I needed 90cc in each leg, but no info on what weight oil. Tried 90cc of 7.5 weight and found the fork would barely compress when riding put in 50cc instead and that seemed to do the trick. I still have no idea how much pressure I'm supposed to run though, but 60 psi seems to be working out ok.
