Air in Brakes?

I just had my rear Hayes hydo replaces due to a broken lever. I was riding around and noticed that my rear wheel (the one that got replaced) could not lock up, I can squeeze it as hard as I want but no cigar, it also as a squishy feeling to it.

Maybe I don't know about something about disk brakes? Is there some adjustment that I don't know of? I think that the problem is that there might be air in the line, let me know what you think.

Hold the bike straight up and down, with the right side of the hb pointed up. Now bounce the bike on the back tire. Any air should move up into the bladder. Now put the bike in your stand/lean it against something with the lever pointed up as if you were going to bleed it. Take the screw out and put in that little funnel shaped thing. Fill funnel with fluid and slowly squeeze the lever. If your lucky, the air should come out and the fluid will go in. Give it fluid until it won't take any more. This is the same principle as bleeding Hope or Shimano brakes.

It turns out that it was just the brake pads, they were all nasty and had something all over them. They just put new brake pads on and cleaned the rotor and it was good to go. I don't know what the squish was from but it is not there anymore.

Man, putting disc brake pads in is tough stuff. I don't know if I would want to do it, and I work in a shop!
