I have a Lapierre spicy 6" which exhibits the following leverage curve, (the lower one of the three displayed)

Im curious to confirm if this decreasing leverage ratio at the end of the travel is intended to compensate for the standard Fox RP air shock?
If so, when upgrading to a coil shock can it be improved to maintain a more linear progressive rate like the Helius AM which from the look of its curve would be a better match for a coil shock.

The Spec Enduro also looks to give this decrease at the end of its travel and I guess this is why the Evo suspension unit comes with new links to reduce this effect?

thanks in adv for any input

ride your bike more... just kidding.

dude, defiantly send this as an email to Lapierre. And try and get a designers email address.

Im sure that the shock that came with your bike has a compression tune speced for the bike (on an rp23 it will say next to the stroke seal) and probably a rebound tune.
