springs is where it all starts.

be carful, your walking a thin line. I am stuck with over $2 geeeees worth of airsoft stuff. it is fun, but will consume you as quickly as Mountin biking will.

the only problem with it, around here any way, is all the people who play are ex military or wanna be military so they are all super intense. i woul stick with the drunkst playing in the dorms.

I went to an airsoft "operation" once, got invited by a friend.

The concept is cool, but all the people playing are ROTC wannabe Special Ops ****heads, so I didn't take too much interest in taking part any further.

I am with you on this one Blue. Bunch of wannabees. I was flipping through a mag and saw a bunch of guys in an article dressed up in their war rigs and it was a bunch of doctors and idiots acting like spec ops guys. Ya gotta be kidding me. To each his own though, so have at it.

When I was stationed on the rock , in between training and the field, we would get drunk and shoot eachother in the hallways of our barracks.

I played for like two years or so. Had a FN P90 and a Glock 18C.

It was fun for a while.. until there was a "boom" and then we had like +60 persons playing every weekend. Things got competitive, and by competitive I mean cheaters. So no more fun.
Its cool if you play with your friends just for fun. When something more than fun is involve you'll get cheaters.

I only shoot real guns now but when I was a little kid, cap guns, BB guns and paintball guns were all the rage. These days, I wouldn't even consider letting my kids play outside with anything that even remotely resembled a firearm. I don't want my girls shot by an over-reacting citizen or rookie cop who "read the situation wrong".

Funny that you mention this... A friend of mine just got a bunch. (He sells them) I tried a few and they are fun. Great for kids as an alternative to BB guns. They can still put out an eye but they don't break the skin (so far as I have seen).

We have a couple of full auto ones which are fun, but messy. You get them damn plastic BB's EVERYWHERE.

They are not real guns, are not as fun to shoot as real guns and don't aim like real guns. But as a toy they sure are fun.
I already went through the military..........
And thus you're not allowed to play with toys anymore? What's your point?

It is a lot of fun. There are people who take it really seriously (I am not one of those people). A lot of them are middle aged x-army etc people.

I have gone to a ton of events. Its cool to get some buddies together and play. I have been in games that have 100+ people in them.

I have a AK-47. I'm always on the non spec ops teams.

I also have an ak47.I always had the most fun just playing with my buddies. it started with the little clear pistols from big 5, then we moved up to shot guns, then slowly everyone got an aeg and a gas pistol. so we were all gnar with it. All the fun stopped when we went to play one time, and the other team showed up in full camo with their faces painted. it was like a bunch of hick farmers against the navy friggen seals.

i know but it only takes one ****ed up kid to get hooked on that then move up to the real gun and then well i think you know the rest
Sorry, dude, but all the 'uckfayed murdering bastarts that are slaughtering school kids never played with Airsoft guns.

They didn't need to. They had drunk grandpa's with no household security to give them their practice rods.
