Ordered my WCS Compact road cranks. It took 6 business days, but I saved $80. They were $128 delivered and everyone else is $199 before shipping. Hassle free.
Their prices on Rock Shox Pike forks are the best I've seen anywhere by a good $30 to $40 or maybe even more! Not sure how they do it, but if I had to buy a Pike, I'd buy it from them for sure.

That's pretty much what I've noticed. They seem to carry a fair amount of products, and they are selling them cheaper than the rest of the online places.
Their able to do it since their online shop is linked into QBP directly, so you order it, it probably gets shipped 2 day air to them, and then 2-3 days to you. They can do the lower prices since their not stocking items really, just ordering as you place an order. Its a smart idea.

Hammerhead and Airbomb do the same. If Universal Cycles says 2-5 days or whatever, that is what they are doing as well. I don't mind it so much. I wish they drop shipped, but I think QBP stays away from that to prevent mistakes.
i ordered a brake adapter there, i ended up having to return it...the staff is very friendly, in fact one of them was living in my hometown for a while, and we talked about the local resturants.
id buy from them again.

i bought a flick from them earlier this year - the fork prices were the lowest i've seen anywhere (the flick was $409), but the prices have since been bumped up to more typical mail-order pricing (the flick is now $550). odd. though shipping was a bit slow, overall service was good.
It's absolutely *hilarious* that you are asking about Alfred E.
When I was in college ('89-'93) in Kalamazoo, MI, Alfred E. was known as *the* LBS to use in town. They were in a little storefront in old-town K'zoo. Bought my first and only brand new bike there in '91 - Giant ATX-760. Rigid, 7-speed, the whole 9.
From the looks of the web page, it seems to still be in the same storefront. Good for them for riding the 21st century wave!
Great guys. The owner is one of the nicest guys I've ever had the priviledge of working with. I worked for one of their suppliers.
Great folks over there...
