I went on to get my masters in it, and while the BA was a cake walk, the MA was a little more work. Didn't really help out in the job arena though.

Asheville is fine and all, but I think it's kind of a Portland/Austin wannabe, with a gay hipster, hippy vibe. Also the North Face/Mountain Hardware fashion show, that is the daily uniform for all the yuppies down there is pretty lame, but you're probably used to that being in Tahoe. There's nothing "south" about it.
Nashville, for all the rednecks, is at least a genuine city, with its own personality.
