The Annual Mountain Ranger Run offers the most challenging and scenic cross-country/trail course that the North Georgia Mountains can provide. The run will be held in conjunction with the 5th Ranger Training Battalion's Open House. The Open House will highlight United States Army Ranger combat techniques, military mountaineering, hand-to-hand combat, and static displays.

"15K Ranger Team Challenge"

We had a similar event when I was stationed in Hawaii. We called it the Marine Mud Run but it was a little shorter at 7 miles I think. It was fun, our team wore boots and utilites, but we wore pink tutu's also. And at the finish of the run, there was a bbq and a truck that served free beer. Beer, I'd run pretty much anywere if there is free beer involved.
