I've seen this more than once... and they did it again on the olympics the other night. They do these up close and personal stories on the US women's...bitch slapping team, or whatever. and in the back ground they are playing "American Woman", the Lenny Kravitz version.
Do people really only hear "American Woman doo bee da bee da da, American woman! Do do da da dum dum"?
It's a Guess Who song whose underlying theme is less than complimentary to american women. "Stay away from me", "I don't need your war machines, I don't need your ghetto scenes", "You're fat and lazy and and smelly really crappy at volleyball".....I may have made up that last one.
I seem to recall hearing that the Guess Who were to play at the White House, and Nixon's wife mandated that they not play that song....or something...
