A 26-year-old Fresno man is in jail after allegedly forcing his 7-year-old son to get a gang tattoo.
Enrique Gonzalez pleaded not guilty Friday to charges of aggravated mayhem and street terrorism after the boy told his mother he was forced to get the tattoo and she altered police.
A judge ordered Gonzalez held without bail.
According to police, Gonzalez held the boy while another man, 21-year-old Travis Gorman, tattooed a dog's paw on the child's right hip. Police said the paw is a symbol for the Bulldogs street gang.
Gorman is scheduled to appear in court on June 16.
Why wasn't my dad as cool as either or both of these?
I had to get laid on my own talents and bull**** when I was 15.
I had to wait for and pay for my 1st tattoo when I turned 18.
Man, life could have been so much cooler if my dad was more of a scum bag.
I am sitting at his office for a minute, and I mentioned this story to him. He told me that if I hadn't taken care of my V card by the time I was 18 that he would have taken me out to the ranch. I guess the "tradition" in Northern Nevada is to take the boy out there when he's 16 and get him broken in proper.
My father said he was unconcerned about this when he walked in on me doing my thing when I was 15. Saved him some money too, which made him happy.
I think he would have laid down the cash for something prime, but I think he would have picked too. I was going through a big case of the Yellow Plague in high school. I think he would have been happier if I wasn't. I could have seen the Air Force Amy or some other such type trite whore of the day I suspect. My pops, if it was worth doing, it was worth doing right.
LIBERTY — A Liberty man has been charged after police say he drove drunk with a two toddlers in the car.
Around 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Liberty police spotted a car go through a red traffic light on Route 52 at the intersection of Sullivan Avenue.
The Honda, driven by Matthew Steadman, 29, was traveling fast, police say. Steadman failed to make a turn, crossed a concrete median and struck a curb, causing the car to stop.
He had a 1-year-old and 2-year-old in the car with him.
Police say they noticed the smell of alcohol on his breath and did field sobriety tests. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child.
I used to live in the central valley, and that town is full of winners just like that guy. In fact I'm sure somebody in fresno has done some thing "better" for his kids.
