Got out for the first early morning ride in *forever* - hit up Mt Falcon for the grueling climb and the Parmalee loop on top.
The climb was just like the last time I did it - brutal. I've been slacking off since our mini-big ride in Vail a couple weeks ago (no commuting to work, no after work rides, etc.) and I paid the price. Had to stop a number of times to catch my breath and took almost 50 minutes to get to the picnic shelter near the top.
Continued up to the Parmalee trail and did the fast, fun, rocky loop in good time. I started to recover here, mainly because I knew the climbing for the most part was over. Hit up the double track back to the picnic shelter then screamed down the main trail back to the parking lot.
The good news: I didn't puke or crash. I guess that's good.
