Well, the party may be at CG's place, but the Athertons are gonna tear that place apart! So sweet...
And Hill can't really be so inflated as to think no one will ever be faster than him, is he? I try to imagine him in 10 years when he'll be in the place riders like Peat are now and I just can't imagine him being so dedicated and consistent. I see him burning out before he gets there.
How's that go..."The star that burns twice as bright only burns for half as long..." And for the fanboys, I'd love to be wrong, I want to see all these guys stick with it. But I just don't see the dedication to the sport in him. Can you imagine Sam doing clinics and gravity camps?
Hey watch your mouth or Michael Schumacher might come and kick your ass.

That's cool to hear. I'm sure SH was bummed, but it was coming. I do hope it doesn't kill Sam's spirit though! Love to see him come back with a vengence, watch all these guys take it to the next level!

Not surprised. Hill is a good sport, not a petulant child - like some of the super-haters on here.

He will definitely be hungry though. It's good for him and good for the sport.

You speak as if Sam Hill has some crazy win streak, he has LOST before.

You certainly have a totally different perspective on Hill, then what actually exists in reality. When you're quiet and successful people think you are arrogant, if Sam was just as quiet and a mid-pack runner, poeple would see it as shyness.

One or two defeats by tiny margins are not going to do anything by motivate Sam. If you ever see his emotions after a win, the small things I mean, you would have a different outlook on him as an athlete.

I don't know why some people hate domination. Sport needs, Rossi's, Hill's, Everts, Carmichael's, Loebs, Federer's, Schumacher's etc....

I know the man very well. He is a great guy and with not the least bit of ego. For someone who has accomplished as much as he has in such a short life his approach is impressive. There are guys out there with WAY more ego who haven't accomplished a thing compared to Sam. People love to hate on winners, that's western society for you, but anyone who really knows Sam will tell you that he is a pretty hard guy not to like.

WAY TO GO GEE!! Psyched for ya buddy! Athertons were on it!

Was his win streak from MontSaintAnne '07 to Maribor '08 not the longest streak of WC win's in History. (Not to mention World Champs, his Champery psychological win, CrankWork and all that crap).

I can never understand why so many people get rubbed up the wrong way by Sam's domination. I suppose some people just develop some ****ty attitudes towards the world as they get on in life!

And as for your ego comment, there are some guys who didn't even make the top 80 today who go around the WC pits like they are gold ****ingg plated!

And on a side note Sam will still have a comfortable lead in the overall....points make prizes and all that.

WHOOOOA! Maybe I'm not explaining myself very well, here! I will definately admit that I am confused by his quietness. All I can know of him is what I see in $24.00 DVDs. I have NO CLUE what he's really like and never will.
And I said I hope this doesn't kill his spirit because his self-set goal was apparently to win every WC. If that's already done with the second race I don't want to see him back off at all now. Push, push push!

And I have no hate for any riders(...well, except Bender, maybe), it's not like any of the guys on that level will ever be able to take anything away from me and I have nothing to lose to them! All I get his a little inspriration and a lot of frustration trying to even experience the slightest bit of what these guys can do!

This course was kinda hard to see, not really sure what it really consisted of, but while watching the WC in Maribor, I caught myself wondering if I could even make it all the way down the damn course...let alone placing! Nope...no hate here...

Of course you could, course was piss-easy. Getting down it at an average of 33mph on the other hand, was not! :)

dear freecaster producer,

instead of slow-mo replays, switch to a camera with live action. 1/3 of the riders are not getting shown.

if a rider is 5 seconds back at the split, switch to the next rider coming down.
Dear Spomer,

Please Email Smagard production, they run all the hardware, cameras and switching station. They even had a list of riders to follow and who they could ignore. They chose to ignore the list.

Wowweee amazing results for the Atherton's I thought it may happen but didn't really expect it and Rach killed it. Check out little Danny hart in 22nd place pretty amazing for only his second world cup race ever!!
Lets see what happens next week at Fort Bill, are we gonna see Gee take another win, Peaty kill it and snatch another world cup win, Sam dominate or Kovarik smash the living daylight out of the field by light years.
