Dirtiest move I ever saw was the Cortina world cup Dual race, Peaty and Karim, first off Karim crashes into peaty-as they both go down Karim is grabbing Peatys leg. Peaty tries to get up, but he cant because Karim will not let go of his leg-shadiest move ever.
That sounds right. I saw a video of the 2001 WC in Vail, where Karim tried to take out Bootes. It was such a dirty move, I'm not sure why Karim wasn't disqualified.

When you grab someone's leg, and hold them from getting up (after you took them out) you deserve to get your a$$ kicked. How could anyone be happy winning a race that?

Ah hell, since we are on the subject of Karim...

He was on GT europe many years ago, he ended up getting canned from that deal because in Tahoe he went to the team condo...with his french friend (retired racer) and they were with a female TV announcer (who does rodeos now).

They ended up doing some 'deeds' with her, while Katja Repo (former Factory team GT rider) was in other room....this didnt go over well with the old Regime of GT, so he was fired.

Thats crazy Graves is pinning it that hard. Its gotta be the 303. I dont think he'll be able to take it tho just because of sheer body weight. I think Rennie or Kovarik will be taking the finals. Gracia maybe as well.

Graves is awsome but as you all saw at snowmass last year the big burly guys just go faster.

wow thanks for the amazing prediction CLEO!....dude....13 years ago(must have been before you were born) a young man named Nicolas Voullioz proved that size has nothing to do with anything in DH racing....he stomped people that dwarfed him for well over a decade.....

way to go graves!!! (now hurry up and gain weight so you can ride even faster!!!)

P.S. since when was gracia considered big and burly???....Mike king, mik hannah, kovarik and rennie are burly gracia is lean, and strong, but not big

best David -vs- Goliath quote ever was Nico at the Worlds in Spain when Rockwell won. They asked how his run went..and he said he tried very hard to pedal aggressively on the open sections and not to think in his "Right now a big guy is beating me".

Have you ever seen Minaar with his shirt off?
Peep. Peep.
But it does not matter.
Sam Hill is a tiny dude as well.
Different riders have different strengths, but in the end skill normally wins out.
Nico could win on any course.

except dry, dusty West Coast stuff...

nah dude....I think people tend to remember the stuff he lost on....he has the ability to WIN on anything and he usually did....he couldn't possibly win everything, so as soon as he loses people assume it has to do with him, or the course....it's natural to do that because people wanted some sort of explanation as to why he was so f'in talented...

Stik..why'd Repo take of...more money elsewhere? She left while on top didn't she..and at a fairly young age?
"On Top"?...She never won a championship, but was a consistent podium rider her last year.
She retired because she was smart, was not worth it to risk her life for no salary (when she lost her decent GT deal). For the chicks, in my opinion it is only really worth paying someone if they can win both disciplines. A podium in 4x/dual/slalom and Downhill every weekend is much more worth my dollars as a sponsor, and Katja was more of a DH specialist, a tad shy and did not do the 'buddy cup' so well-so her options were limited.

Sad though, at times the fastest lady on the mountain, cute, very nice and a smart girl too...

I believe she is about 2 years younger than Leigh, so not that young.

Yeah it was smart...i think she was 28 or 29 when she stopped, she started racing kinda later than most people. I think she went back to school if I remember right.
