From Vital - http://www.vitalmtb.com/news/press-release/Announcing-Team-SC-Intense,224

Intense Cycles and Suspension Center have joined forces for the 2011 UCI World Cup DH race season. Team SC Intense will be continuing the legacy of success for both parties with a new team line-up and an all new team look. Piloting the fleet of new Intense M9s will be Florent Payent, a former French Junior and Senior National Champion, Joshua Button, a former Australian Elite National Overall Champion, Lars Peyer, a former 2 x Junior Swiss National Champ and podium regular in the Swiss IXS National Series, and Faustin Figaret a promising new French Junior rider.

Team SC Intense will be in attendance at all 7 UCI DH events and select other races in 2011. In addition to support from Intense (intensecycles.com) and Suspension Center (suspensioncenter.ch), Team SC Intense will be powered by Fox Racing Shox, Formula Brakes, Alpine Stars, Mavic Wheels, Schwalbe Tires, Nukeproof Components, SCprobag, Gamut Chainguides, SRAM Drivetrain, Scott, THE Helmets, RapidRacerProducts and Turbospoke!. The team will also be receiving support from its medical partner Lindenhof Hospital, Bern Switzerland.

Stickman, Marketing Manager at Intense Cycles commented “Here at Intense we are delighted to continue our racing program for 2011. We are stoked to partner with the guys at Suspension Center who run one of the most professional and technical teams on the World Cup circuit. The all new M9 has already secured a World Cup win with Suspension Center at Val Di Sole in 2010 and we look forward to seeing more success for the new team and the M9 in 2011.”

Gery Peyer of Suspension Center, who will manage Team SC Intense, commented “it’s great to be involved with Intense again for 2011 and we’re looking forward to building on the successes from 2010. We will be continuing our 18 year racing tradition of WC racing and our passion for developing young talent. For next year we have new riders on the team and are very excited to be on board the new Intense M9. We will also be sporting an exciting new look to match our slick new M9s!”

Team SC Intense will be taking delivery of their new bikes early in the New Year and are looking forward to a successful 2011 season.

Since CRC and intense are no longer a team, does this mean kovarik and lehikonen are moving on to different bikes?

So wait, they talk about how great the bike is because she's ridden it to the win and podiumed and done great on it, and then cut her from the team? Care to chime in here stik?

Well she certainly wasn't to pleased with this announcement!
Really? I would be very curious to see an explanation then. And you seem to be batting right around 100% on the things you say about the mountain biking world.

To sum up a few questions asked here...

I believe Matti will be piloting some new brand of bike, Kovarik I am hoping stays on Intense bikes. It is my understanding that Kovarik will not be on CRC. Bear in mind we were just a sponsor of the CRC team, we made no executive decisions, or were involved in any team management...all that stuff falls on Nigel Page who we owe a lot too for choosing Intense Cycles back when he landed the CRC deal.

As for Emmeline, I do not get involved in the team politics but I am hoping Emmeline will remain on Intense bikes and I have put that offer out to her, but as you read, she is not a part of the SC/Intense team for 2011. She is a fantastic racer and a delight to work with and test with.

I think Suspension Center had planned on scaling back for 2011, smaller team and just work with young up and comer racers instead of seasoned pros.

I am stoked to be working with Gery again, I have been working with him since the 90's back when he used to be our Fox Europe pit when I was a mechanic for Leigh D and Lopes.
