Never cold anymore in Denmark more or less. Busy time at work not so much for me personally but a lot of bottlenecks in the organization that needs to be solved.

Did a half day yesterday and a sick day today, got a wicked headache and for some reason my stomach decided to go out in sympathy too.

Jaw is sore from yawning so much and my eyes have had three days of dirt and tiny bits of fibreglass getting in to them, I feel old, but not want to buy an e bike old.

Did build a wheel, bladed spokes and a tension meter is fun, tiniest bit of a twist on the spoke and the gauge is as useless as you'd expect it to be.

I'll sort it when I'm more awake.

Based on my trip in this morning, my truck either wants more regular charging or new batteries, as evidenced by the P0562 code. Given that I'm on the OEMs from 2017 and only drive once a week, this should not come as a surprise.

I got 12yrs out of my last car battery but it was used almost daily.
The work truck I used to drive supposedly went through batteries almost yearly but it was just connection issues from old terminals and battery links.
Ran 0 AWG cable and new lugs everywhere and it kicked like a mule for the six years I drove it, batteries still seem fine.
But again, driven every day, and it doesn't get cold here.

I'll hardwire in a battery charger here shortly. It suffers from a) lack of use b) cold weather and c) the power hungry grid heater. Not exactly a recipe for battery longevity, but its somehow managed to hang on this long.

That's a good effort then.

I saw someone not paying attention when changing batteries and managed to hook the grid heater to permanent power.
That made some pretty fancy smelling smoke.

Have you seen the permanently mounted jump packs? They use a different lithium battery chemistry so they can handle heat and properly fast charge times.
I'd love to think that there'd be people out there that would rely on them rather than fixing their electrical issue/s.

Hello, weathermonkey representing the central Ontario region reporting for doodie. Today it is a balmy -9c with varying snow flurries in the air. I expect a high of IDGAF today.

One hawk spotted in the trees on the way to work.

Someone has parked their coffee mug in the coffee machine and walked away. WHO DOES THAT

This airport is a total cluster. My ticket said gate 9, it was actually 34, over a mile away. I literally ran for two miles. This Strava is from 1/2 way, when I got to 9. I am absolutely dripping with sweat.
After a monster plate of Chilaquiles.

And forgot my bluetooth headphones again at home.

Why can't my phone just have a simple headphone jack, who the fuck makes these decisions?

Not as cold as the last two days. Was going to ride, but have some family coming - requires some minimal house cleaning that is sorely needed. Work tonight, then off for six! Should be able to get in a few good rides in that time. Nothing else planned...

Here. Ready to fire one of my clients. I will be discussing it with my manager today, but the amount of time they consume and what they demands vs. what they generate as a client is very imbalanced. Plus, they are as annoying as all fuck. I will gladly send them off to Vanguard and wish them luck.

It's been a recurring issue, so the necessary information to do it is there. What we usually end up doing is removing any advisor assignment and telling them that we will continue to manage it, but any financial planning related aspects will not be handled. Everything they want to do can be done online and if not, a service rep will call them. For most people, that's enough to get them to leave. It doesn't happen often, but we will do it if necessary.

"Why would Biden do this to me?" - this client, I presume.

hello
small child skin dr appointment this morning. basically nothing of substance, so thanks for that. I guess we're on the right path and his symptoms are well managed, so I suppose that's good.

Here at work, quietly doing a few things before I head back home for the day. Tinnitus is strong today, so that's fun.

Why can't my phone just have a simple headphone jack, who the fuck makes these decisions?
From what I have read, a proper headphone jack compromises two design elements:
Resistance to water ingress, and how thin they can make the phone. I miss my LG’s that had a jack and a DAC.
