heard the news that jhon balance died yesterday, apparently from a fatal fall over the stairs in his house. he, along w/ peter (aka sleazy) christopherson formed Coil (along w some others who collaborated from time to time). if you have any interest in electronic music, you are likely familiar w/ Coil.

"tainted love" is an old 60s R&B or soul tune; soft cell didn't write it. the video which Coil did (making the song about AIDS) was very good.
