thanks everyone!
one of our new mgrs at work used to work for answer and had this bike sitting in his garage for 3 yrs. he claims he rode it around the block twice but i even doubt that. bought it for $425
people tell me it's an old-school original classic but it's the only bike i have! i used to race road about 15 yrs ago and just started riding again.

it's totally an old school classic. the hard tails were sweet, but they had a lot of problems w/ the chain stays on em, they used to crack after just a few months of abuse.
