We were talking about FEELINGS not thoughts. Hate is a FEELING.
So are you saying that thinking rape is a woman's (or many women's) fault is not hateful?

Thinking women should be subservient to men, and that career women have stepped out of line and out of their role as defined by god is not hateful?

I'll concede there may be better words for it, but if not hateful, what is it?

Hate is a feeling and unless Baldwin states that he hates women, you simply cannot infer it.
I go back to my previous post in pointing out that if this is the case, then by definition humans don't have the capacity to infer. Inference is a basic human capacity that most socially functional people develop before they even hit puberty. Do you think (or feel or infer) that we are all autistic?

You lot are stupid sometimes. This has nothing to do with him liking or disliking law enforcement. He simply wanted to make a point about not being scared. Not needing a crutch. Good for him. The US has turned into a state of constant and heightened paranoia. HTFU.

 my point is this. you, of all people, would have an excellent excuse to discredit everything i say because you hail from san fran, the hub of everything extreme left/fringe and i am a "redneck oppressor servant of a corrupt regime." yet you are able to look past our individual faults and at least make an attempt to understand my point of view. blue came from salt lake city, therefore he has no geographical excuse for his inability to understand any point of view that isn't fringe.

The words I bolded above are not synonyms. We are just splitting hairs here, but I remain steadfast in my position that you simply cannot know what someone is FEELING unless they tell you. It may appear to be so, and you may think it is so, but you just can't know it. It is a conclusion you are unqualified to reach.

So can we get back to the geographical stereotyping? I'm really enjoying it.

Have you ever been in a relationship, Rick?

First of all, you cannot know what someone is feeling even if they tell you. Second, if you can't make a very good guess as to the feelings of others, based upon their words, inflections, actions, and body language then I stand by my claim that you are autistic. You are non-functioning outside of the world of the purely verbal and literal interactions of the internet. Not surprising, I suppose, given the obscene amount of time we all spend on these damn machines.

Well, I was in Downieville for the start of deer season, and I took a new copy of Outdoor Life at my friend's place, and I added a bunch of comments like "Don't kill me" or "I'm Cute! Don't Shoot Me!"

I think what you are saying is "you cannot know another person's feelings."

My literal mind interprets this as a confirmation that "you can't know if one person hates another."

Therefore, it appears you have reached my conclusion. Have a nice day.

Yup, I confirmed that. I also said that you're a retard if you can't make a good guess, and you're even more of a retard if you believe someone feels something because they say so.

I am requesting that "retard" be substituted with "differently-abled person" from now on.

As in, "RR, your overly-literal comments on what you can and cannot know about someone's values have clearly labeled you as a complete fvcking differently-abled person."

This entire election is absolutely appalin'

The fact that McCain's campaign wants to make health care like the banking industry makes me pale in the face.

A quick check on MTOA's website shows no one on the executive board named "Jason Kern", however there is a chair on the training committee listed as "open"...

I've got an email out to the MTOA President.

Psssh. Like I read Sanjuro's posts.

"As the President of the Michigan Tactical Officers Association I send you my sincerest apology for any misunderstandings Ofc Jason Kern's email may have caused. Ofc Kern's comments are in no way a representation of the Michigan Tactical Officers Association. The MTOA is a non-profit organization that provides training and resources to the tactical community in Michigan. We do NOT get involved in politics.

I was not in attendance at the event in question and can not speak about what transpired there. The MTOA does not get involved in politics; we had absolutely no representation at that event, or any other political rally. Ofc Kern was on-scene at the event representing the police agency he is employed with; he was NOT representing the MTOA.

The email in question was NOT an official MTOA correspondence.

Kenya detains senior staff reporter during Obama probe

Obama has a long history of connections in Kenya, where his father worked as a government economist. Corsi documented this history in his book and went to Kenya to find answers to lingering questions – particularly about the links between the presidential candidate and Kenya Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

Corsi had promised a news conference today that would "expose details of deep secret ties between U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and a section of Kenya government leaders, their connection to certain sectoral groups in Kenya and subsequent plot to be executed in Kenya should Senator Obama win the American presidency."

"Just as we were about to start the 10 a.m. press conference at the Grand Regency Hotel in Nairobi, Kenyan immigration approached us and detained us. Tim Bueler, my publicist, and I are now in the immigration offices, with our passports taken.
