Hilarie pointed out a yard sale to me this morning, so I stopped on the way to work.

In the free pile was an old Specialized Rockhopper, 20" frame, so in the truck it went, complete with pink ano seatpost QR bling. Another weekend fix-it-up project! :love:

Ya, I now have two older bikes with pink ano bar ends. Raises the uphill speed by 3.25 MPH!

If you grasp the bar ends with a firm yet limp wrist i bet you can raise the average even higher.

I don't think the 24" rear wheel goes with the bike. Bought a new rear wheel and chain today; the only 26" 7 speed wheel I have has the rim sides worn to nothing. Did some cleaning and oiling. Need to get a middle ring. Originals are Biopace, which dates the rig fairly well. Shot some oil into the various frame orifices.

I actually knew at one point, but I have long forgotten. I have a buddy who cares about that set of facts...

Wull, it's on the road with a new chain, middle ring, headset, rear wheel, and tire. Rode it over to the house of the fellow who gave it to me last night to tell him it works again. The pedals have got to go - one has a bent spindle, or it feels like it.
