I installed a reach adjust headset on my DHR, and the external cups took of the headset and upsizing the frame left the stack too long for my steer tube on my 40 crowns. It's kind of difficult to source OEM crowns, so I just bought a set of aftermarket ones from Risse on their eBay store. I think they are lighter than the OEM ones I am taking off, I will weigh to confirm. But the quality of the Risse crowns is pretty good. They used the same size bolt heads for the steerer clamp and stanchion clamps, which is nice because you won't need multiple allen's to get them off. They even lasered the torque specs on to them, nice touch. The steerer itself looks nice too. Hopefully it hold up well and doesn't develop a creak at the steerer/crown interface. Anyways, just thought I'd show you guys and see if you all think they are a quality piece or not

I know they have been making these crowns for ages, I'm not sure if these are NOS or if they are fresh stuff. The lasered torque values lead me to believe these were made recently, as labeling torque values on the part itself was pretty rare ~10 years ago

Edit: shit I just found their actual web store via their website and they are apparently making quite a bit of stuff still. You can still buy Trixxy's, their whole line of rear shocks, 121 different shocks to be exact.They even have a freakin 12 inch travel Big Foot Extreme for $2k. I think that's what Bender rode. They have that crazy downhill frame they made too, the Lassen

That thing lasted like 3 weeks on my bike. Truly as dumb as it looked. But those were the only kinds of seats you could get back then that had some meat on the nose to pinch your seat for no handed things.

Foes is into desert racing , that,s where some of his off the wall designs come from like the hydro forming and such .

Risse made a pipe that looked like a yellow highlighter and when you pulled off the cap, it was a bowl. I met one of their factory riders from Florida back in the day who had one when he was on vacation on the Maine coast.
