I'm a fan of my Eno. You can get a rain cover and insect cover as well. Make sure to get straps though, as it doesn't come with them.

my "Solo" Alpine tent

I have an Alps Mountaineering Solo tent. Been through many kayak camping trips with that. Dont have a "good" 2 person tent yet but gonna get a Marmot as some of theirs have squared off bases for more room. But I do have a Ozark Trail 3 person tent for car camping trips.
