I'm looking to build a wheelset around some Mavic 819's and am considering the Syncros factory front hub & saint compatable rear on sale at pricepoint.
I'm running a Nixon platinum(non TA) on my Heckler, and have broken a couple of XT QR axles in half- that's why the design of the Syncros looks good...seems like it would have to be stronger (albeit heavy).
My rear wheel is also toast (also an XT). My last ride I broke four spokes in the rear, and the ride before that another three. The freehub also locked up on a particularly nasty climb...these hubs are dead. The Syncros rear hub also looks good, as I am already running a Hone RD and like a through axle.
So, any reason i should steer clear of these hubs? Don't say CK, hope, or Hadley...I'm on a tight budget.
