My friend is looking at a 99-00 Foes tube. The bike is a good deal but the seat tower is enormous for him. The bike is supposedly a small, but the seat tube measurement was 19" ctr-top.

I'm wondering if this if there is a smaller seat tower (this one measured 8" from the ctr of the main mount to the top of the seat collar). I already emailed Foes and searched for some info, I just thought one of you monkies might know

Yes. Maybe even three sizes. I had a '98 DHS Tube. The mast on the med looked like a triangle from the side. The small mast had the same base, but the top was chopped off. Looked like it dropped it between 1"-2" or so.

They DID make them in different sizes, but when I exploded one on my '00 Foes DHS Tube last year. I called to see if I could get a new one and they said they were no longer in production. I found on here on RM though that worked.

My medium size 98 got a new mast when I got the front end fixed in 2000. The mast has a 3 postion bolt adjustment up front/pivot on back. It's for sale too. Let me know if you want it. Otherwise it's my next bike. I can send pix if you like. PM me with an email address if interested. I could use the money since some stupid b***h wrecked my car for me today

Just a thought, but its a simple enough piece that someone ought to be able to make one for you. I know someone who can make it out of steel. Prob someone here who can do it with AL.

A good idea, the thing is I can just find a bike that fits my buddy better, he hasn't bought it yet. It's $1g for a '00 tube with an '04 SuperT and good parts, but hardly worth it with a 5 year old frame that doesn't fit him.

The tower was made in 3 sizes. The front triangles are all the same and Foes would just change the tower depending on the size frame you ordered.
I had the same problem last summer when I wanted to give my old frame to my son. I called Foes and they said they were out of production but thought they had some laying around. They called me back right away and hooked me up with a new one, no charge. Not sure if they had any more but it's worth a call to them. I think I talked to Chris.
