Jozz Joe Dalton Apr 18, 2002 6,803 8,840 SADL Mar 23, 2019 #8 I'm nowhere near proficient with QGIS. I get by enough to do what I need to do. Have you located that icon for shapefile import?

Jozz Joe Dalton Apr 18, 2002 6,803 8,840 SADL Mar 23, 2019 #11 Ok, in your Explorer (? as you can see my version is in French), locate XYZ Tiles (blue arrow) Right click and select "new connection" In the pop-up window, put the name you want and paste this in the URL field: https://www.google.com/maps/vt/lyrs=s@189&gl=cn&x={x}&y={y}&z={z} after that you drag it in your "layers" tab. There are many more you can add, OSM, Google Terrain, Bing, etc. just google it and you will find them. 1 2
