Transfering parts from one bike to another and trying to avoid a visit to the shop or buy the tool itself, so does anyone know of any way to remove a crank shaft without the tool?
I agree that you should just get a shop to do it. Any ways you may find to remove the cranks could damage the splines and/or spindle. You don't want to do that.
Either buy the tool or get a shop to do it. Shouldn't cost much. If you have a good relationship with the shop, they should do it for free while you wait, considering it takes about ten seconds to do.
welllll, they charged me 10$ not including star nut itself, to tap my star nut in which took all of about 3 seconds so im kinda afraid. i guess il just take it down there though anyways.
