I can get a very good deal on a 2.75" stroke ti coil. Basically half or a little under half the cost of what a regular priced ti coil is...so it's a very good deal that I dont want to pass up if possible..
With that said, my current shock is 9.5x3 so it needs a 3" stroke shock. But with ti coils, the winds are further spaced about, so worrying about coil bind should be less of an issue...
the free length of a 3" coil is 6.5", and 6" for a 2.75" stroke coil.
My elka s5 shock has probably over an inch worth of threads as it sits right now available for lowering, so I could stand to use a slightly shorter length coil so long as I dont have issues of coil bind.
What about the shock collar/spacer's that RCS make? From my understanding, you use those if there is not enough threads available for if you use a shorter shock.
I've seen some folks say they use shorter stroke ti coils before, but anything I should be concerned about?
