Joost is an internet TV type deal from the guys who started Skype. I applied to be a beta tester back in January and they recently sent me the d/load details. Pretty cool little app, quality is impressive even though my laptop doesn't have the oomph required apparently. Looks like a winner, though content is pretty much non-existent at the moment. I haven't got any invites to give out yet if anyone is interested but when I do I'll let you guys know.

Thanks, but I obtained a Joost invoice via another source. I was poking around today - interesting service, but pretty limited right now. Hopefully that'll change!

You're missing the point. :)

It's an online service. You don't need cable to watch YouTube, right? You open the program and there are different channels listed, and you open the channel to view what programs are available. When you click the program, it streams the video to your computer.
