One of the main lawyers defending former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein at his trial has been killed in Baghdad.
Baghdad police said Khamis al-Obeidi had been shot dead, and that his body was found in the capital.

Iraq state television reported he was killed by "terrorists". Court officials said he had been abducted from his home, the Associated Press agency says.

Two other defence lawyers were murdered last year in the early stages of the trial, which is set to end next month.

AP quoted court officials as saying Mr Obeidi was killed after being taken from his home by men wearing police uniforms.
