I enjoy riding this 51 mile point to point hell, they advertise it as 48, but every year tell us they couldn't get access to some of the private land and had to make it 51) so who knows how long it will be , but its in my college town and the freeride/DH trails are awesome, so it makes for a good excuse to make the 6 hour drive.

Any monkeys gonna be riding ore to shore?

I remember driving to Marquette for a Norba National back in like the 90's. We drank so much of this crap :

we couldn't race the next day. Do they even make Strohs anymore?

yeah, and its a mass start, it fills about 6 "city" blocks in negaunee for the start, you roll out on pavement through town for a few miles and then get on the trails once people spread out a hair, it's pretty fun.

Always easy to find a riding partner too, espescially once you get out of town a ways and find your pace.

There is mostly two tracks, gravel roads, single track sections, it's not entirely super technical, nor a ton of single track, but it's fun to go to because I enjoy the town of marquette in general.
