858 pedals releasing at 50 degrees or more? I put new cleats on and now my left pedal will release at about 45-50 degrees. Its a bit sketchy. I tried grinding the bump off the back of the cleat to no avail. I put some slightly used ones on from some spare shoes and they're not much better. I've put the shoe in with my hands and released it while watching the mechanism. It might be the tail of the cleat hanging up on the rear clamp forcing the front of the cleat to move to the inside before it all lets go. Hmmmm I may have just figured this out. Any one else have this symptom and do you know the problem and solution?

I had Times. Bent 2 axles. Too much latteral float for my liking too. Shoes would wander over to the outside and tip over. That I think is related to a cleat opening size issue and sole wear. They are good in mud though. A little harder to get into and out of than smoothly operating Shimanos but not affected as badly by mud.
