I got to ride one for a little while today at N*. I ended up liking the way that bike rode quite a bit. Pedals good, feels light and fast, easy to hop, jumps great, really stiff feeling, felt relatively light. All of this is compared to my '03 giant dh which is the only other DH bike I have ridden. My giant feels very tank'ish compared to this bike, that's the best way I could think of to describe it.

I know they had issues in the past but supposedly these have been taken care of from what I've read in old posts on here. So did any of you guys get a full season in on one of these? Any issues, or things you aren't happy with?

The only 2 things I didn't like were some nasty derailleur slap against the "thrust link" and the chain kept getting caught in between the tire and the chain stay. Could've just been because this was a rental bike and not in tip-top condition.

Anyone get a full season? I thought the Rmx came out just this year?

You are Correct sir, it did just come out. My friend J had one for........ 2 races maybe? He loves the thing, and I've ridden it and its awesome. He's got a 888 on it, and he loves the thing. This dude has broken EVERYTHING, and it lasted through him. Hell, he ripped the thrustlink off an RM7! There is a frame sitting in our LBS that Birdwang is still paying off, and that thing is beef! The chainstays are huuuge, and its just a solid bike.

Next season, the idea is to have everyone on one :D

I talked to your buddy when he was returning it. My friends rented 2 of them and returned them at the same time as him. When I looked at it it did have a replaceable hanger and it looked to me like that it was broke, but he was trying to tell me that there was no replaceable hanger. I pointed it out to him and he just said "oh, didn't notice that". Did they end up giving him a hard time when he returned it?

So it sounds like people have stayed away from these bikes because of RM's bad reputation from the RM7/6 but the people who do ride the RMX seem to like it alot.
