So being the dipshit that I am> I went and ordered a wheelset from i9 the new Hydra hubs aren't too loud BTW. I assumed the older wheels used XD Cassette. Turns out they are splined. So No I am hunting for a 12spd in decent shape. I have a new bar, tire and could kick in cash depending on the cassette. Don't @ me just help me out....

I bet if you used something like a reversed chainsaw chain and wrapped a cone of electrical tape around the driver you would essentially have an open standard CVT with tuneable gear ratios.
