Anybody know how to remove whatever it is that sets home page to anyfind.com and puts four spycam links in favorites every time PC is rebooted? Also hided the address bar in IE. Spybot can't seem to nail it.

System is W98, belongs to a friend.

It's a coolwebsearch variant, see http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/cwschronicles.html. A tool called cwshredder is available to remove it.

You might want to also get adaware and start running the scans.
You also can run adwatch (part of adaware) in ram and catch things as they happen.

after installing adaware then run update of the defination file from here
