I once rode Platty with my down tube cracked at the headtube. I used electrical tape.
Some of those drops are scary enough as it is! I noticed the crack a couple days before the trip, and would not be denied. Dumbass. Crazy. But it worked!

This reminds me of a picture they had hanging in the service department of the dirt bike store i used to go to when I was a kid. It was a chair with a broken leg duct tapped back on to it that said "sure it's fixed, but would you sit in it"
